Before liberation, Young-bok married Im Seo-rim, a missing international student, to avoid being taken to a comfort station. In place of her husband, whom she had never seen before, she took care of her sick in-laws. At the age of nineteen, when she would have burst into laughter just by seeing fallen leaves, Young-bok grew into an adult who could not smile. After liberation, her husband Seo-rim, whom she had longed to see so much, appeared in a dream, but by his side was her pregnant Japanese wife, Sachiko. Seo-rim, Young-bok, and Sachiko, who unintentionally became the husbands of two wives, begin to live two lives under one roof.
Young-bok quickly opens his heart to Seo-rim‘s compassion and small affections. Unable to tolerate the existence of a concubine, she warns Sachiko to return to Japan after giving birth, and they have a tense standoff. However, the two wives who were struggling to take over Seorim receive desperate news. As a result, Yeongbok and Sachiko, who had resented each other more than anyone else, become each other’s greatest comfort.
Kang Mi-na, Choi Ri, and Ha-jun portray the changing companionship of the characters during the turbulent times of liberation and the Korean War with solid acting skills. Even in the midst of tragedy, it is expected to leave a deep impression and lingering impression with the undying love for humanity and the friendship of two women.
