Kim Nam-gil and Sung Joon face off in a strange atmosphere.

In episode 9 of SBS‘s Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram), Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil) heard that his senior from the National Intelligence Service, Jung Seok-hee (played by Shin Eun-jung), was kidnapped on Kim Hong-sik’s (played by Sung Joon) ship and made a plan to enter the ship. She foreshadowed that she would enter the ship dressed up as Michaela, the ‘god‘s older sister’, of Goo Ja-young (played by Kim Hyung-seo), who is currently pretending to be a shaman who has taken the soul of Captain Park (played by Yang Hyun-min).

On the 13th, the production team revealed the scene where Kim Hae-il and Kim Hong-sik face off. This is the situation in which Kim Hae-il, who was looking around the ship, comes face to face with Kim Hong-sik. Kim Hae-il, who had infiltrated the ship disguised as a woman, covers his face with a fan and looks at Kim Hong-sik with angry eyes when he sees him. Kim Hong-sik looks at Kim Hae-il with a cold expression.



The production team said, “The charisma showdown between Kim Nam-gil and Sung Joon raised the expectations on set. Before filming, the two discussed ways to delicately express the tension that built up layer by layer while matching their lines and actions, and after filming, they meticulously monitored the filmed scenes to show off their professionalism. Thanks to this, an action scene of unprecedented scale that is refreshing to the eyes was completed,” he said in his self-evaluation.

He continued, “The 10th episode that will air today is an episode that will gradually answer the questions that the viewers who have waited for a week have had,” and said, “Please look forward to the 10th episode that will be full of action, comedy, and creepiness.”

Episode 10 of “The Fiery Priest 2” will air at 10 p.m. on the 13th.
