Actor Cha Ji-hyuk will be joining the new drama ‘Rookie 3’.
On the 13th, his agency Management Run announced, “Actor Cha Ji-hyuk has been cast in ‘Rookie 3’.”.
‘Rookie’, a dramatization of the mega hit animation of the same name, is a hyper-realistic military comedy that depicts the story that unfolds when a ‘military spoon’ rookie enlists in a place where all sorts of guys, from good guys to bad guys and weird guys, have gathered.
It has received much love from the public as it has taken the lead in ‘K-military contents’ with its delightful comedy and relatable story that is exquisitely blended. Season 3, scheduled to be released next year, will depict the new military life of Park Min-seok (played by Kim Min-ho), who is running towards the rank of corporal.
Cha Ji-hyuk plays Kim Tae-hee in ‘New Soldier 3’, who has outstanding looks and a deep voice that are both physical and visual. It is said that he captivated the production team by embodying his low, cave-like voice and showing off his excellent character digestion.
Cha Ji-hyuk said, “I enjoyed watching both seasons 1 and 2, so it feels like a dream to be joining the show and I am very happy,” and added, “I am completely immersed in Tae-hee right now. I will live well as Tae-hee until the end of the show.”
Cha Ji-hyuk, who recently played the role of Sung Dong-il‘s right-hand man and youngest detective Min-jae in the movie ‘Beast’, has been actively acting in dramas such as ‘Eve’, ‘Hongcheongi’, and ‘Search’. Expectations are high for how Cha Ji-hyeok will transform in ‘New Soldiers 3’.
