“Thank you all for everything”

SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ Kim Nam-gil raised the tension with a critical ‘trigger ending’ where he puts a gun to Lee Ha-nui‘s head when she is in danger of death.

Episode 10 of SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram, produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, Red Nine Pictures, and Gilstory ENT) that aired on the 13th recorded a peak of 13.4% according to Nielsen Korea, taking first place in miniseries viewership ratings for the week. Also, it achieved the feat of ranking first in the same time slot with 10.8% in the metropolitan area, 10.8% nationwide, and 3.1% in the 2049 demographic, as well as first among all dramas aired on Fridays.

In episode 10 of ‘The Fiery Priest 2’, the ‘Shin Guvengers’ led by Kim Hae-il (Kim Nam-gil) presented a refreshing show of punishment that drove Kim Hong-sik (Sung Joon), the head of a drug cartel, into a corner, clearing away all the frustration. First, Kim Hae-il, who transformed into Shin Unnie, naturally escaped with his ally Yeol Bing-eo (Oh Hee-joon) with a sudden trembling performance and saved the kidnapped Jeong Seok-hee (Shin Eun-jung). Park Kyung-sun (Lee Ha-nui), disguised as Shin Oppa, goes around the ship, appeasing the spirits of Koo Dae-young (Kim Sung-kyun), Koo Ja-young (Kim Hyung-seo), Oh Yo-han (Go Kyu-pil), Song Sak (Ahn Chang-hwan), and Buljang-eo (Jang Ji-geon). She tries to escape after hearing Kim Hae-il’s order to disperse, but fails to find an exit and ends up fighting with the organization members inside a drug factory.

At this time, Kim Hae-il, who was also looking for an escape route, encounters Kim Hong-sik in his office, and during a life-or-death fight, when Park Kyung-sun and Sagri-pa are cornered, he breaks the glass wall, jumps down from the air, and defeats the organization members in one fell swoop. After that, Kim Hae-il, Park Kyung-sun, and Sagri-pa escape in a car prepared by Kim Soo-nyeon (Baek Ji-won), who was waiting, and Go Dok-deok (Kim Won-hae), who was disguised as a nun. An enraged Kim Hong-sik brutally beats Captain Park (Yang Hyun-min) and orders his subordinates to move the cash.

At the same time, the escaped members of the ‘New Avengers’ gathered in a hideout, and Kim Hae-il surprised everyone by revealing that the eel, which was thought to be dead, had a special constitution that made it very sensitive to the cold and miraculously came back to life in the freezer with all its nerves reawakening. Later, when Umaseo Chief Gomarta (Heo Soon-mi) held a press conference declaring war on the drug cartels, Nam Du-heon (Seo Hyun-woo) called and threatened her, but Gomarta stubbornly resisted, and Nam Du-heon said to Chief Park, “Let‘s do one small thing for once,” raising suspicion.

At night, Oh Yo-han and Song Sak, who were introduced by Go Dok-i as people from NASA, appeared in front of Bbael-rak (Choi Hwan-i) in disguise, and entered the ship under Bbael-rak’s guidance. Gu Dae-young, Gu Ja-young, and Yeol Bing-eo arrived in front of Yonggwangsusan Shipping, where the drugs were smuggled, and planned to crack down on Kim Hong-sik‘s drug distribution network and catch corrupt customs officials. At this time, Park Kyung-sun escaped the attack by the unknown assailant with the help of Chief Kim (Hwang Jung-min) while entering the residence, and Chief Kim confessed that he was actually a spy for Busan District Prosecutor Park (Jung Ki-seop) and that he attacked Park Kyung-sun due to the CCTV footage of the honey pot room, and that Nam Du-heon even confirmed that Park Kyung-sun went to Kim Hae-il’s hospital through the CCTV. However, in the midst of all this, Kim Hong-sik, who had met Park Kyung-sun in the middle of the night and asked her to leave Busan with him but was rejected, froze after hearing Nam Du-heon‘s revelation, “What good does it do if our Kyung-sun is involved with Father Kim Hae-il?”

The next day, Goo Dae-young, Song Sak, and Oh Yo-han swept away the drug smuggling area and persuaded the leader to make a statement, saying, “We will protect you with our lives.” In addition, Yeolbing-eo helped Gu Ja-young suppress the customs corruption related to Kim Hong-sik’s drug smuggling.

At the moment when everything was going smoothly, Park Kyung-sun was kidnapped by Kim Hong-sik, heightening the ominousness. Furthermore, Kim Hong-sik pressed the remote button on the bomb, saying, “Let‘s do it special this time,” but he was flustered when the bomb on the ship and the gas hidden in the abandoned gas station did not work. After looking at the kidnapped Park Kyung-sun, he answered the phone of Kim Hae-il, who was calling Park Kyung-sun, and said, “It’s not Prosecutor Park Kyung-sun, it‘s my new insurance policy,” and said, “I was just about to go to the Lord,” raising the sense of crisis.

Kim Hae-il went straight to the Uma Cathedral and was shocked to find Park Kyung-sun tied to a special chair in the church that would cause a drug addict to die immediately if the drug in the syringe exploded. Kim Hong-sik, who saw this, urged Kim Hae-il to commit suicide by picking up a gun if he wanted to save Park Kyung-sun, and started a 3-minute countdown around Park Kyung-sun’s neck, shouting, “Show me. Father Kim Hae-il! Your faith or sacrifice!”, increasing the sense of anxiety.

Kim Hae-il, who had been troubled by this, resolutely said, “Thank you all for everything,” and put the gun to his temple, which led to the ‘trigger’ ending with a gunshot, raising curiosity.
