Former baseball player Choi Jun-seok‘s wife, Eo Hyo-in, mentioned her husband’s investment fraud.

Eo Hyo-in, who appeared on MBN‘s entertainment show ’Sokpuli Show Dongchimi‘ on the 14th, confessed that her mother’s assets were lost due to her husband Choi Jun-seok‘s deposit fraud.

Eo Hyo-in began by saying, “At first, my husband said that if I invested this much somewhere, he would give me this much every month. I wasn’t interested. I thought that something would happen someday, so I stopped it from the beginning. But my husband took it as nagging and invested without me knowing.”

She said, “When my husband was on the Busan team, we lived in Busan on a lease. We weren‘t going to continue living in Busan, so we rented for a while without buying. But when the lease was about six months away, I got a call from the landlord. ‘It seems like the bride doesn’t know, but I thought I should ask her,‘” he said, confessing that Choi Jun-seok had been defrauded of the deposit for the house he was living in in Busan without Eo Hyo-in’s knowledge.

He continued, “I never thought I would become a guarantor for someone else when the house my wife and child live in was used as collateral,“ adding, “I even thought about divorce.”

He also said, “My mother had worked hard to save up for a small apartment. I wanted to have a small hope after going through all the fraud, so I hired a lawyer and went to trial. The lawyer said that 99% of the time, they won. However, a deposit is needed during the trial. It seems that people become clouded when they are desperate for money. I borrowed it from my mother. I could get it back if I deposited it, and since the lawyer was trustworthy, she readily gave it to me when I said I would win, but it didn‘t work out. “The deposit has also disappeared,” she said, adding, “I am the youngest daughter and I feel very guilty,” adding to the sadness.
