The astronauts in tvN‘s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Ask the Stars’ (written by Seo Sook-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo) depart for a space station that is 200,000 km from work.
‘Ask the Stars’, which will first air on January 4, 2025, is a work that depicts the extra-Earth life of Eve (played by Gong Hyo-jin), a boss working in a zero-gravity space station, and an uninvited dinosaur (played by Lee Min-ho) with a secret mission.
It heralds the birth of a space office work that is set in a space station for the first time in Korea and depicts the lives of astronauts living inside it.
The poster released by the production team on the 16th shows astronauts going to work at a space station orbiting the Earth in the vast universe, making us curious about their daily lives.
First, the sight of a huge space station circling a certain section outside the Earth’s blue atmosphere catches the eye. The majesty of the space station filled with complex mechanical devices stimulates curiosity. Tiny people in a sparkling space in one corner of the space station make us experience the vastness of space.
You can also see astronauts staying in the space station, their home. A variety of astronauts have gathered, including Commander Eve Kim, dinosaur tourists, fruit fly researcher Kang Kang-soo (played by Oh Jung-se), astronaut Park Dong-ah (played by Kim Joo-hun), space station commander Chief Kang (played by EL), space scientists Mina Lee (played by Lee Cho-hee) and Lee Seung-jun (played by Heo Nam-joon), flight director Han Si-won (played by Lee Hyun-kyun), and experiment partner Ma Eun-soo (played by Park Ye-young).
Among them, the dinosaurs, Eve Kim, Kang Kang-soo, Mina Lee, and Lee Seung-jun have arrived at their destination and are preparing to disembark. Kang Chief, Park Dong-ah, Han Si-won, and Ma Eun-soo also look outside with calm expressions, raising attention to what will happen in the space station, the workplace of the astronauts.
Like this, ‘Ask the Stars’ depicts the daily lives of astronauts heading to the space station, their workplace, through posters for work, using the subway, a means of transportation used by ordinary office workers, expressing the unique mood of a space office drama. Like the tagline, ‘We commute to the space station every day, with a distance of 200,000 km,’It will depict the turbulent daily lives of astronauts and present the joys and sorrows of life.
‘Ask the Stars’ will first air at 9:20 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
