We‘ve pointed out the unique charm points of KBS2’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Miss Granny.”

KBS 2TV‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Miss Granny,” scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wednesday) is a romantic music growth drama about Oh Mal-soon, a grandmother in her seventies who suddenly turns into a twenty-year-old Oh Du-ri and enjoys her shining heyday as she challenges herself to become a singer once again to fulfill the dream she couldn’t fulfill when she was younger. The drama ‘Suspicious Girl’, a remake of the movie of the same name, is garnering much attention from potential viewers with its expanded characters and storyline compared to the original.

While the differentiated storyline from the original movie is raising viewers‘ expectations, the ‘Suspicious Girl’ production team has revealed key points that will be even more fun to know before the main broadcast.

● Easy yet difficult family conflicts

Unlike herself, who lived without a mother and took care of her drunkard father, Oh Mal-soon (played by Kim Hae-sook), a grandmother in her 70s, wanted her daughter Ban Ji-sook (played by Seo Young-hee) to live her life happily. As she wished, Ji-sook becomes a female executive at a large company, but Mal-soon always grumbles that her daughter is vulgar because she doesn’t act as affectionately as other mothers and daughters.

On top of that, Ji-sook feels resentful when Mal-soon, who raised her coldly, gives more affection and love to her granddaughter Choi Ha-na (played by Chae Won-bin) than necessary. In the meantime, Ji-sook is overcome with a sense of betrayal when Ha-na says she‘ll give up on the college entrance exam, and takes all her anger out on Mal-soon. This deepens the emotional rift between Mal-soon and Ji-sook, and it makes the drama even more interesting to see whether they’ll be able to resolve their conflict amicably. I‘m very curious about the three-generation female epic that Ji-sook, who thinks she’s the best in the world, Ha-na, who‘s the epitome of cheekiness, and K-grandma Mal-soon will present.

● The shining idol growth story of the second half of her life

Oh Doo-ri (played by Jung Ji-so), who has the emotions of a grandmother, enters Eunice Entertainment as a trainee to fulfill her dream of becoming a singer that she couldn’t when she was young. Everything is unfamiliar to her as she tries to debut in an idol group. She‘s even bullied by the other trainees, but she shows passion by diligently practicing for her debut and even staying to practice dancing. Will Doori be able to stand on the debut stage she has dreamed of along with the other trainees? Curiosity is rising over the main broadcast to see how her second life will unfold.

● The Pink Romance of Jung Ji-so and Jinyoung

Daniel Han (Jinyoung), who was at the peak of his career as a member of Asia’s top idol group Ignis, retired from being an idol due to an incident and made a splendid comeback as a producer at Eunice Entertainment. However, for some reason, he plans to wrap everything up with the launch of a girl group as his last task. When Doori, who has transformed from a 70-year-old grandmother to a 20-something, appears, Daniel‘s life is turned upside down.

Daniel, who cast Doori as a trainee for the idol debut group, is concerned about her because she does whatever she wants unlike the other members. Daniel finds Doori’s behavior annoying, but he also finds it exciting when he worries about her. How will the exciting story unfold when Doori appears in front of Daniel? How will the romance between the two be portrayed? Attention is focused on the special chemistry between Jung Ji-so and Jin-young, which will bring excitement to the living room theater.

In this way, ‘Suspicious Lady’ will draw an even richer story with the addition of the narratives of three women, Doori‘s challenge with the sensibility of a 70-year-old who challenges herself to become an idol to pursue her dream, and the exciting romance between an idol trainee and a producer.
