Actors Song Ok-sook, Park Sang-won, Ye Soo-jung, and Ahn Seok-hwan are teasing a youth romance that blooms in the twilight years with the new drama ‘When Silver Bell Rings’.

STUDIO X+U‘s new drama ‘When Silver Bell Rings’ (written by Hong Yoon-jung/directed by Choi Byung-gil), scheduled to be premiered on the 18th, is a youth romance that focuses on realizing a new love that blooms in a life where desire and reality are intertwined.

The drama depicts the honest and realistic sex in the twilight years of middle age of seniors who enjoy ‘dating apps’ and ‘one night stands’, which were considered exclusive to young people. ‘When Silver Bell Rings’ will steal the spotlight by cheering on those who challenge a new beginning at the end of their lives, following the drama ‘Our Blues’, and by highlighting the various forms of love among seniors.

Song Ok-sook, Park Sang-won, Ye Soo-jung, and Ahn Seok-hwan will be the seniors who will portray love that comes at dusk. Song Ok-sook will play the role of ‘Park Geum-yeon’, a master hanbok craftsman who has long since lost her romantic feelings. Ye Soo-jung will play the role of ‘Park Soo-hyang’, Park Geum-yeon’s older sister and the epitome of a virtuous wife and wise mother. The male leads will be Park Sang-won as ‘Seong Nak-won’, an architect who enjoys the single life, and Ahn Seok-hwan as ‘Oh Seok-jo’, Soo-hyang‘s husband who suffers from early-stage cognitive impairment.

The released poster shows Park Geum-yeon and Seong Nak-won standing on the beach, with speech bubbles drawn above their heads as if they were having an online conversation. The meaningful dialogues, “Looking for a friend in his 60s to have a plate of raw fish with in Sokcho” and “This time, we only have fun and part ways” make us look forward to the meeting of these two on the ‘dating app’. Song Ok-sook and Park Sang-won, wearing brown coats as if they had made a promise, showed off their already perfect chemistry with a look reminiscent of a couple look.

In the two posters of four that were released together, you can catch a glimpse of the excited expressions of Park Geum-yeon, Sung Nak-won, Park Soo-hyang, and Oh Seok-jo. The phrase, “Found the last love in the twilight of life” here makes us really curious about the romance they will show.

The twilight youth romance ‘When the Silver Bell Rings’ will be released one episode per day starting on Wednesday, December 18 on LG U+’s movie subscription service ‘U Play’, and can be viewed on U+tv and U+mobile tv.
