Jae-chan from Channel A‘s new weekend drama ‘Check In Hanyang’ has expressed his feelings about being labeled a ‘prolific actor’.

At the production conference for ‘Check In Hanyang’ held at the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 17th, Jae-chan introduced his role as Go Soo-ra as “She is a character who comes to the small town of Yongcheonru from a poor family in order to succeed. At first, she is full of ambition and doesn’t know what friendship is, but she comes to realize the value of friendship as she meets her friends.” This is her first historical drama, and he said, “I had a lot of pressure and worries about the historical drama accent. However, Director Myung Hyun-woo said, ‘Since you‘re a MZ character in Joseon, you don’t have to do a historical drama tone, so I put the pressure down,“ he said.

He continued, “While filming the historical drama, ”When would I ever get to wear a hanbok and capture such pretty scenery? That was different and fun. However, we filmed in the summer, so it was really hot wearing a hanbok,“ causing laughter.

Jae-chan, who is releasing his third drama this year following MBC‘s ‘Our Home’ and JTBC’s ‘Playful Woman’, said, “It‘s not easy to release three works in a year, but I’m grateful and happy that I was able to do so. It was a time when I learned a lot from my seniors and older brothers and sisters. I think I‘m growing more and more as I act. I’m looking forward to the future.”

Meanwhile, ‘Check In Hanyang’, which will be aired for the first time at 9:10 PM on the 21st, depicts the dramatic growth romance of Joseon youths who join the ultra-luxurious inn Yongcheonru, which is more splendid than the palace, as interns. Actors Bae In-hyuk, Kim Ji-eun, Jung Gun-joo, and Jae-chan will be the main characters.
