Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye, formerly of the group Shop, revealed that she attempted IVF for her third child but failed.

On the 4th, a video titled ‘Lee Ji-hye‘s Third Challenge! The Full Story of IVF Preparation for 3 Months’ was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Not-hateful Sister-in-Law’.

In the video that day, Lee Ji-hye said, “I’m trying artificial insemination for the last time because I want to have a baby. The professor who helped me with the IVF before said that my ovarian function wasn‘t bad, so let’s try it once” and said, “What should I do if I‘m becoming greedy? It was so hard to raise them, but they’re so pretty”.

On the day of the artificial insemination, her husband Moon Jae-wan said, “I‘m actually really worried. I’m old, but my wife was born in 1980, so I hope the baby is born healthy. “I would be so happy if an angel came to visit me,” she confessed.

Lee Ji-hye took a pregnancy test on the 6th day of artificial insemination and two lines appeared indicating that she was pregnant, but the test result later showed that she was not pregnant. Lee Ji-hye said, “I thought I could give up easily, but it‘s not easy. I’ll try IVF next time.”

Lee Ji-hye then went through IVF. Lee Ji-hye said, “I got a call today about the number of eggs that were fertilized. We collected 11 eggs and 5 of them were fertilized.” However, out of the 5 fertilized eggs, all 3 that were successfully cultured were diagnosed with genetic abnormalities, and the IVF failed.

Lee Ji-hye said, “I expected it. I don‘t feel so good. I’m old, so I‘m going to take it calmly.”

She added, “But I did my best. ‘It was my greed,’ I thought to myself, trying to calm my mind and accept it. How can life always go my way? I’m trying to make up my mind to be grateful for what I have, but I don‘t know if it’ll work. I actually felt a little sad earlier,” he added.

Moon Jae-wan comforted Lee Ji-hye, who was upset, saying, ”First, my wife‘s health. Third, let’s just live happily regardless.“
