Actor Kim Yun-seok is a hot topic for his drastic transformation in director Yang Woo-seok‘s screen comeback film, ‘Big Family’.
A family comedy about the owner (Kim Yoon-seok) of a dumpling restaurant, ‘Pyeongmanok’, who lost his family business because of his son (Lee Seung-gi) who became a monk, and ends up living together in an unimaginable and amazing way when cute grandchildren he has never seen before visit him.
Kim Yoon-seok, who has captivated audiences with charismatic characters such as the Agwi in the ‘Tazza’ series, Eom Joong-ho in ‘The Chaser’, Park from Macao in ‘The Thieves’, Kim Sang-heon in ‘The Fortress’, Director Park in ‘1987’, and Yi Sun-sin in ‘Noryang: Sea of Death’, shows a different side of himself with less energy in this film.

In the film, he plays Ham Mu-ok, a self-employed person who became wealthy by making dumplings, and says, “I can support my family with just dumplings. He is a man who does not compromise when it comes to dumplings. He is a man with a craftsman’s spirit who only makes dumplings by hand and serves them to guests,“ he explained his character.
Meanwhile, the movie ‘Big Family’ is the screen comeback of director Yang Woo-seok, who has directed unique films with a strong human touch based on materials such as ‘The Attorney’, ‘Steel Rain’. In addition to Kim Yun-seok, expectations are high for the performances of various characters including superstar chief priest Ham Moon-seok (Lee Seung-gi), Pyeong Man-ok‘s real power broker Bang Yeo-sa (Kim Sung-ryung), Ham Moon-seok’s best friend Han Ga-yeon (Kang Han-na), and Ham Moon-seok‘s training monk In-haeng (Park Soo-young).
