DAY6 “Thank you My Day for letting me keep dreaming... Looking forward to the 10th anniversary”

The popular band DAY6 expressed their thoughts after wrapping up their concert.

DAY6 held their solo concert ‘2024 DAY6 Special Concert ‘The Present’’(2024 DAY6 Special Concert ‘The Present’) at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul at 6 PM on the 21st. This concert, which was held over two days following the previous day, met a total of 38,000 My Day (official fandom) fans with two performances.

First, Wonpil said, “Time really flies. There are many people I am grateful to, but thanks to Our My Day, we were able to endure. I sincerely thank you for allowing us to keep going. Your mere presence gave us the strength to keep going”, adding, “This was an unforgettable concert for me. We‘re performing at Gocheok Dome. This day has come. Another memory has been made,“ he said, expressing his gratitude to the fans, agency staff, and concert staff.

He said, ”Next year, we will do our best to continue to show you good music and good performances. We will work hard to become a band DAY6 that you can be proud of,“ and added, ”This year, everyone must have had hard times and good times, but it’s not enough to live only thinking about good things. I hope that many good things will happen in the new year of 2025 and that everyone will be happy. I hope that everyone will wrap up the year warmly. DAY6 will continue.“

Sungjin said, ”As Wonpil said, the staff were more excited than us before the Gocheok Dome concert. We were happy, but it didn‘t feel real. I think you (My Day) were the same. Instead, many people around us congratulated us. We were able to come this far thanks to all of your help. I want to tell you that I truly love you. You guys are cooler than you think. You guys are really cool,“ he said sincerely. He continued, ”My friends also said that My Day is really cool. So I hope My Day’s life isn‘t too hard. Don’t think about it too hard, be happy, be healthy, and let‘s meet again next year. Thank you so much for playing with us.“ He also confessed, ”Thank you to those who sang and danced energetically on set, and to My Day who worked hard to endure it at home. Thanks to you all, I had a great time today and had an unforgettable time this year. Thank you.“

Dowoon joked, ”As the performance grew, I’m sad that I can‘t see all of your faces,“ and said, ”It can’t always be good, but when it‘s hard, I’ll be standing next to you like a tree, so come talk to us anytime. I‘ll be waiting. I’m really happy when I perform in front of you. I‘m the happiest when I’m on stage. When I see your happy expressions, I feel like, ‘We’re happy that we can give them good joy.‘ I love you so much. I’m 30, but I‘ll work hard to become an artist who grows even more in the future.“

Young K revealed that he watched the concert when the band U2 visited Korea and held a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in 2019. He said, ”Before that, I didn’t really put the word ‘I love you’ in my lyrics. If I‘m going to put love in my lyrics, I want to know what it is and write it, but there’s no proper definition, and it‘s different for everyone. I think I wondered if it was okay for me, who didn’t know much, to write it. There was no expression of love, from ‘I like you’ to ‘I want to love you.’ When I watched the U2 hyungs‘ concert, they spread love to the audience. I didn’t feel like the size of their love was decreasing, but rather growing. I thought I wanted to share the love inside me more widely. I thought I didn‘t have to be so hard on saying I love you. I love you all.“

He said, ”Thank you, My Day, for making my dream come true. I hope everyone is filled with love. Even if something annoying happens, if the other person is someone you love, don’t you just let it go? It also makes you laugh. I hope you have a day filled with love. I will do my best to convey love and happiness. I hope we can laugh together and be healthy,“ he said. ”2024 was a really meaningful year. DAY6 has been running really hard for a long time, and this day has come again. Thank you. I am so grateful that we can continue to stand on stage like this. Thank you for allowing us to dream of the future again.“

Young K also foreshadowed, ”Everyone, please look forward to it. We are already having a meeting. Our 10th anniversary next year is coming up soon, aren‘t you excited? We are also very excited. We are thinking about how we can have fun.“

Meanwhile, DAY6, who decorated the end of 2024 with My Day, will continue their third world tour, ‘DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR’ (Forever Young). All performances around the world, including Incheon in September, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Surabaya, and Jakarta in October, Singapore in November, Bangkok from November to December, Hong Kong in January 2025, and Los Angeles and New York in April, have been sold out. With the number of performances added and the scale expanded, the concerts will continue in Kaohsiung on January 18-19, Hong Kong on the 25th-26th, Osaka on February 12-13, Tokyo on the 15th-16th, Manila on the 22nd, Sydney on April 6, Melbourne on the 9th, Auckland, New Zealand on the 12th, Los Angeles on the 16th-17th, and New York on the 19th.
