K-pop girl groups are continuing their strong performance on Billboard, a representative popularity index for global popular music.

According to Billboard‘s latest preview article on the 5th (Korean time), aespa’s 5th mini album ‘Whiplash’ and ITZY‘s 9th mini album ‘Gold’ entered the main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ 50th and 60th places, respectively.

aespa also ranked 8th and 5th on the ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global 200 (excluding US)’ with the title song ‘Whiplash’.

Rosé’s ‘Apartment’, which ranked 8th on the main single chart ‘Hot 100’ last week, was the highest-ranking female K-pop singer, and took first place on the ‘Billboard Global 200’ for two consecutive weeks.
