The group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has achieved two crowns on the Japanese Oricon Weekly Chart. According to Oricon on the 5th, Seventeen‘s 4th Japanese single ‘Shohikigen (消費期限/Consumption Expiration Date)’ topped the latest ‘Weekly Combined Single Ranking’ (dated December 9/counting period November 25~December 1). The album also ranked first on the Oricon ‘Weekly Single Ranking’, which was released on the 3rd. The ‘Weekly Single Combined Ranking’ is a ranking that combines CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming. SEVENTEEN earned a total of 427,343 points, including 418,000 CD sales. Oricon explained, “This is the highest weekly points recorded by a foreign artist for a single album this year.” SEVENTEEN also achieved the most consecutive No. 1s for a foreign artist, with four consecutive single albums topping the ranking, starting with their second Japanese single, “Fallin’ Flower,” released in 202
