‘My Little Old Boy’ Eventually Cancelled… Jeju Air Plane Accident Special Report Programming [Official]

SBS ‘My Little Old Boy’ has been canceled.

On the 29th, SBS announced, “Due to the programming of “‘SBS News Special’, ‘My Little Old Boy’, which was scheduled to air today, will be canceled and ‘SBS Special’ will air at 10:30 PM. We ask for your understanding, viewers.”

Earlier, they stopped broadcasting ‘TV Animal Farm’, which had been broadcast that day at 9:30 AM, and started the news special report. After that, the rebroadcast of ‘SBS Song Daejun’ and ‘Inkigayo’ ‘Running Man’, which were scheduled to be broadcast, were also canceled and the news special report was organized in succession. ‘SBS Special’ was scheduled to air at 11:05 PM, but was moved up to 10:30 PM.

At around 9:03 AM on that day, a Jeju Air passenger plane failed to lower its landing gear while landing at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province, and attempted a body landing, deviated from the runway, crashed into an exterior wall, and exploded. Of the 181 people on board the plane, including 179 South Korean nationals and 2 Thai nationals, 2 were rescued and the remaining 179 were confirmed dead. The two rescued people were transferred to Seoul National University Hospital and Seoul Asan Medical Center, respectively, and the victims are being kept in a temporary morgue set up at Muan Airport. The victims whose identities have been confirmed will be transferred outside after consultation with their bereaved families.
