The dual-role performances of Kim Hae-sook and Jung Ji-so in ‘Suspicious Girl’ have begun in earnest.
KBS 2TV‘s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Girl’ (directed by Park Yong-soon/written by Heo Seung-min) shocked viewers when grandmother Oh Mal-soon (played by Jung Ji-so), who suddenly became younger, encountered Janet (played by Kim Hae-sook) in her 70s.
Oh Mal-soon (played by Kim Hae-sook), in her 70s, was rejuvenated to her 20s after meeting a mysterious taxi driver (played by Kim Byung-ok). At that time, Emily (played by Jung Ji-so), a debut trainee at Eunice Entertainment, disappeared, and producer Daniel Han (played by Jinyoung) searched for her. Daniel mistook the young Mal-soon, who looked exactly like Emily, for Emily and even signed a contract with her. Malsoon, who entered Eunice Entertainment to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a singer, gave viewers a lot of fun by practicing hard for her full-fledged debut. While Kim Hae-sook and Jung Ji-so are showing off their passionate acting in dual roles, we take a look back at the relationship between the new characters Janet and Emily, which is becoming more and more exciting.
● Who are Janet and Emily?
The younger Malsoon, who has the same face as Emily, who was in the Eunice Entertainment debut group, started her second life as a trainee Oh Du-ri instead. Janet also visited Eunice Entertainment to meet Daniel, and she left a message for the security guard to tell him that she came because of Emily, making viewers wonder what kind of relationship Janet and Emily have.
In episode 4, it was revealed that Emily had been taking female hormones and antidepressants at Eunice Entertainment before she disappeared. In addition, Janet also had the same medicine bottle that Emily was taking, which heightened the tension of the drama. Also, the ending where Janet calls the younger Doori, “Sister”, surprised viewers.
● The relationship between Kim Hae-sook and Kim Byung-ok
In episode 1, Mal-soon gets into a suspicious taxi after fighting with her daughter Ban Ji-sook (played by Seo Young-hee) and leaves home, and opens her eyes in a youth photo studio. Mal-soon takes a memorial photo with a photographer (played by Kim Byung-ok) who has the same face as the taxi driver, and is rejuvenated to a 20-year-old overnight.
In episode 4, the rejuvenated Mal-soon reveals her identity to her male friend Park Gap-yong (played by Jeong Bo-seok) and asks him to find the taxi driver’s whereabouts. Later, Janet also meets the taxi driver who approached Mal-soon, which adds to the drama‘s interest. The taxi driver’s appearance in front of Janet has piqued curiosity as to why the relationship between the two is related to the reason Mal-soon looks younger.
Kim Hae-sook and Jung Ji-so of ‘Suspicious Girl’ each play two roles, creating an unpredictable storyline, and the fun of guessing Janet and Emily‘s true identities has also been added, giving great enjoyment to the living room theater. Accordingly, anticipation for the exciting story of Oh Mal-soon and Janet, Oh Du-ri and Emily is rising day by day.
Episode 5 of ‘Suspicious Girl’ will air on Wednesday, January 1st at 9:50 PM.
