The first one-act drama ‘The Historian Discusses’, which will open the splendid gate of ‘Drama Special 2024’, has released a poster along with key points to watch.

‘The Historian Discusses’ (directed by Lee Ga-ram, written by Lim Eui-jung) is a historical drama that contains the story of a young historian trying to protect history and a crown prince trying to erase history in order to become king, who fight with their beliefs at stake.

Amidst expectations that the tense story of historian Nam Yeo-gang (played by Tang Jun-sang), who moves forward without hesitation to protect his beliefs, and the crown prince‘s son (played by Nam Da-reum) trying to erase a page of history in order to become king, we have pointed out some essential points to watch that will further captivate potential viewers.

Tang Jun-sang, who is challenging a historical drama for the first time in five years, plays the role of Nam Yeo-gang, a junior censor at the Yeongmungwan. Yeo-gang is a ignorant scholar who is called a fool who only reads books. With his great love for the Crown Prince, he succeeds in becoming a historian, which only the elite with family, learning, and literature can become, but he faces a reality different from what he imagined.

Nam Da-reum, who returns to the small screen after his military service with ‘The Historian Discusses’, will soon take on the role of the Crown Prince, the Crown Prince of Joseon. The Crown Prince, who is so perfect that no one can match him in terms of erudition and speech, decides to erase the records of ‘Im-o Year’ in order to open a new era for Joseon. Yeo-gang and the Crown Prince, who face each other again as intruders and obstructions in an accident, are expected to continue the exciting development as the two engage in a tense debate over their respective beliefs.

The special appearances of Yoon Na-mu (as Shin Hee-soo) and Choi Hee-jin (as Hye-bin Hong), who will firmly hold the center of the drama, as well as Seo Jin-won (as the Left State Councilor) and Jo Han-cheol (as the King), are also major points to watch for in ‘The Officers Discuss’.

In addition, the Korean-style visual beauty containing the beautiful scenery of the Joseon Dynasty, the solid narrative containing the stories of the intertwined characters, and the actors’ great acting are expected to increase the viewers‘ immersion.

‘The Officers Discuss’, which contains the ‘refreshing and exciting Joseon-style bromance’ between Tang Jun-sang and Nam Da-reum, will air on Tuesday the 5th at 10:45 PM.
