If an actor and director have a ‘strong belief’ for each other, there is nothing they cannot do. They easily put to rest the concerns that there would be a series of similar characters.
Kim Se-jeong was “jumping for joy” upon reuniting with director Park Sun-ho, who directed her representative work ‘Office Blind Date’.
The two have teamed up for the new ENA drama ‘Drunken Romance’, which will air from the 4th.
The two attended the drama production conference held ahead of the first broadcast that day and were delighted, saying, “We met again at a lucky timing”.
‘Drunken Romance’ is a romance between Yong-ju, a passionate liquor company salesman who takes it for granted and Min-ju, a brewery CEO who catches her emotions every day. It is the next work of director Park Sun-ho, who has directed many romantic comedies such as ‘Office Blind Date’ and ‘Suspicious Partner’.
Director Park said, “I had fun filming ‘Office Blind Date’ with Kim Se-jeong and thankfully the results turned out well” and “I heard that Kim Se-jeong was looking at [the script] closely from the time I first started reviewing this project. The ending is good, and I thought that if Kim Se-jeong could do it, there would be no reason for me not to. After that= I contacted Kim Se-jeong and asked her to do it with me. In the end, rather than saying that I did the casting, I think we had similar thoughts to some extent,” he said.
Kim Se-jeong also said, “I felt at ease,” and “I already knew the director’s directing direction well, but I also became more confident that I could talk about the difficult parts more comfortably.”
