Kim Se-jeong·Lee Jong-won
Lee Jong-won‘s endless run has begun.
Following his previous works ‘Flowers that Bloom at Night’, ‘Bad Memories Erased’, he is aiming for the ‘trend’ spot by starring in three leading roles this year, including the new drama ‘Drunken Romance’, which will air on the 4th.
‘Drunken Romance’ contains the romance between Yong-ju (Kim Se-jeong), a sales king of a liquor company who naturally hides her emotions, and Min-ju (Lee Jong-won), the CEO of a brewery who is ‘supersensitive’ for whom examining emotions is a daily routine.
Lee Jong-won attended the drama production conference held at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul ahead of the first broadcast and said, “‘Drunken Romance’ is completely different from his characters in his previous works, and he said, “I have a lot to show as a person named Lee Jong-won. I wasn’t too worried because the medium is different. I‘m happy that I can show you a lot this year.“
She continued, ”I was especially happy to be able to play Yoon Min-joo, who resembles me. She’s delicate, but there‘s warmth and innocence inside.“ She said, ”I think I learned a lot about myself while playing the role of Yoon Min-joo. When I first read the script, there were a lot of things that overlapped with me and I felt like I was looking at myself. It wasn’t awkward when I read the lines either. It was a script that I felt a kinship with from the beginning, so I really wanted to do it.“
She also said about her chemistry with Kim Se-jeong, ”There were a lot of things I tried for the first time in the romance part, but she helped me share my opinions. There were a lot of parts where she led me like a real Yong-ju.“
Kim Se-jeong also said, ”She‘s very kind and delicate. She’s very similar to my character Min-joo in the drama, and the charm I felt from Min-joo was similar.“ She added, ”She‘s more playful than I thought. He said, “She created an atmosphere where we could film happily while joking around on set.”
Lee Jong-won called Kim Se-jeong a “vitamin.” He praised her, saying, “She’s energetic and makes everyone laugh, and she‘s like an endless source of energy.”
