Kim Jung-hyun is in danger of being kicked out of his company.
In episode 15 of KBS2‘s special weekend drama ‘Iron Family’ (directed by Sung Joon-hae, Seo Yong-soo / written by Seo Sook-hyang) aired on the 16th, someone intentionally exposed the fact that Seo Kang-joo (played by Kim Jung-hyun) attended film school in New York with company money.
The episode that day showed the first meeting between Go Bong-hee (played by Park Ji-young) and Cha Tae-woong (played by Choi Tae-joon). When Tae-woong, who just got out of the orphanage, was sleeping in the laundry closet, Bong-hee took good care of him. After that, Bong-hee, who thought of Tae-woong as her own child, was furious at the fact that his parents who abandoned him were Ji Seung-don (played by Shin Hyun-joon) and Noh Ae-ri (played by Jo Mi-ryeong). Seung-don’s secret that he has a biological child is revealed to Bong-hee and Baek Ji-yeon (played by Kim Hye-eun), and Ji-yeon hears the truth about the fake college student Ae-ri from Bong-hee, leading to an exciting development.
In addition, Kang-joo reveals to Bong-hee, who is protecting Tae-woong as a pitiful child, that he is the real owner of the Cheongryeom Laundry Shop. After hearing this, Bong-hee goes to Bok Mi-kyung‘s (played by Byun Yoon-jung) real estate and demands a copy of the Cheongryeom Villa building registration. Bong-hee, Ahn Gil-rye (played by Kim Young-ok), and Lee Man-deuk (played by Park In-hwan) are shocked when they find out that Tae-woong is the owner of the building. Rumors that Tae-woong is rich spread through the neighborhood, and even Lee Cha-rim (played by Yang Hye-ji) finds out about this. Although Cha-rim was sad because she thought Tae-woong left because of her, the sight of her family telling her not to be mistaken brought laughter.
Meanwhile, someone intentionally put Kang-joo in danger. They posted a malicious message on the company bulletin board saying that Kang-joo attended New York Film School in the US with company money. When the employees found out about this, they started whispering behind Kang-joo’s back, and Da-rim also heard Kang-joo‘s story. Da-rim worried about Kang-joo, who was on the verge of being kicked out of the company.
Meanwhile, Seung-don found out that Kang-joo had entered New York Film School without him knowing, and Kang-joo trembled in anger and shed tears, bringing pity to the viewers. In the end, Kang-joo’s pitiful appearance on standby and Tae-woong‘s polar opposite ending of returning to Korea in business class have raised curiosity about what kind of story will unfold for the two of them.
The 15th episode recorded a viewership rating of 16.9% (provided by Nielsen Korea, nationwide households), ranking first among all programs broadcast that day. In particular, the scene where Kang-joo is called to the chairman’s office and the fact that he attended New York Film School is revealed added dramatic interest, with a peak viewership rating of 18.7% per minute.
Episode 16 of ‘Iron Family’ will air on Sunday, the 17th at 8 PM.
