Episode 4 of SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram) that aired on the 16th (Sat) recorded a high of 15.9%, 4.4% in the 2049 demographic, 11.6% in the metropolitan area, and 11.2% nationwide according to Nielsen Korea. The 2049 viewership ratings achieved the feat of ranking first among all channels broadcast for the week and all programs broadcast on Saturdays.

Episode 4 of ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ showed Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil) recruiting Gu Ja-young (played by Kim Hyung-seo) whom he saved from danger, to the same team, and further expanding their cooperation with the help of Park Kyung-sun (played by Lee Ha-nui), who attempted to infiltrate the Busan Southern District Office.

First, Kim Hae-il told Gu Ja-young, “I‘ll take responsibility and let you investigate,” and told her to take Buljang-eo (played by Jang Ji-geon) with him. While moving with Gu Ja-young and Gu Dae-young (played by Kim Sung-kyun), Kim Hae-il rushed to the hospital upon seeing Buljang-eo in critical condition, but Buljang-eo died of multiple organ failure despite emergency treatment. Koo Ja-young was in danger of being wanted by Nam Doo-heon (Seo Hyun-woo), and Kim Hae-il, who heard from Koo Ja-young that Nam Doo-heon, the violent crimes team at Umaseo, and Yakpal-i were clearly connected, presented a grand plan to use the organization and the prosecution to fish out the upper echelons of the drug organization, who were unaware of the death of the eel. Kim Hae-il secretly contacted Park Kyung-sun, and Park Kyung-sun told Kim Hae-il that an organization with enormous power had appeared in Umaseo, and that Chief Nam Doo-heon and the violent crimes team 1 at Umaseo were connected. Then, after becoming free, Kim Hae-il suggested to Gu Ja-young, who was thinking of a way to lure the upper eel‘s upper eel, a plan to have Gu Ja-young disguise himself as a detective who was a gambler in need of money and get the upper eel involved, saying, “Then we should make a deal.”

After that, Kim Hae-il went to Grandma Song’s (played by Byun Joong-hee) house, and when he saw a group of people blocking Grandma Song as she got out of the van after work, he got enraged and broke the gang‘s arms. And while eating with Grandma Song, Kim Hae-il felt ominous when he found out that he didn’t even know the name of Grandma Song‘s workplace or its location. Kim Hae-il relayed this to Chae Do-woo (Seo Beom-joon) and told the angry Chae Do-woo, “Do your best with reason and self-control, and when that doesn’t work, the last resort should be anger. And the anger you feel at that time is something that even God turns a blind eye to,” emphasizing that he must fulfill his duty as a priest.

On the day of the mass, Kim Hae-il told Gu Ja-young, who came to Uma Cathedral with Gu Dae-young, that Sister Kim (Baek Ji-won) and Father Han (Jun Sung-woo) were also on the same side. Kim Hae-il kept a close eye on Kim Hong-sik (Sung Joon), who was walking toward Uma Cathedral with an unapproachable charisma, and became serious when he received a tip from Chae Do-woo that the place where Grandma Song was working was a suspicious place with a rice cake stand. Meanwhile, Yeol Bing-eo (played by Oh Hee-joon), who had Oh Sang-man’s (played by Lee Won-sik) cell phone, found a text message sent by Gu Ja-young, who had disguised herself as Oh Sang-man‘s girlfriend and said, “10 billion won in cash for eel. Exchange it tomorrow at 6 PM at Jirim Land. If you don’t talk nonsense, eel, go to the National Intelligence Service!” and reported it to his superiors. With Kim Hong-sik‘s permission, Park Dae-jang (played by Yang Hyun-min), Yeol Bing-eo, and Jellyfish (played by Kim Jung-hoon) headed to the meeting place. At this time, Ko Dok (played by Kim Won-hae), who played the role of the eel, Koo Ja-young, who transformed into a Harley Quinn, and Koo Dae-young in a clown mask, warned the three people to take the ship and take it. Park Dae-jang’s gang threatened the eel‘s mother, who was in the nursing home, using her as an excuse, but the eel’s mother had already moved to another place according to Kim Hae-il‘s plan. At the moment when Park Dae-jang’s gang was surprised, Kim Hae-il, who was dressed as the Joker, appeared on the carousel with the lights on and said, “All the hypotension medications in the country are gathered here,” and with a crazy laugh, he waved his cane and used magical actions to knock down the villains.

In the end, Park Dae-jang‘s gang in Busan was taken to the police station by the drug team of the Dohan Police Station, but masked men suddenly appeared in a mysterious car, knocked down the police, and helped Park Dae-jang’s gang escape, creating a sense of unease. Kim Hae-il, Koo Dae-young, Koo Ja-young, and Koo Dok-dok, who appeared later, were shocked at the sight of the mess, and Kim Hae-il went to the fight scene and confronted the masked man. While confronting the masked man, Kim Hae-il, who experienced symptoms of multiple sclerosis, quickly regained his senses, but four murderous men wearing the same clothes kept appearing in front of Kim Hae-il‘s eyes, heightening the sense of crisis. At this time, Kim Hae-il raised expectations with a ‘provocation ending’ while preparing with a hazy smile and intense eyes and wagging his fingertips at the men.
