MBN‘s ‘Let’s Go (Let‘s Go)’ has captured attention with the stories of friends who have drawn various life graphs.
On the 9th episode of season 3 of MBN’s real variety show ‘Let‘s Go’, which aired on the 16th, CEO Kim Kwang-soo, the ‘Hand of the Entertainment World’, who took over portal sites in the previous broadcast, and former national soccer player Song Jong-gook appeared.
First, CEO Kim Kwang-soo, who garnered attention in the previous broadcast by reviving the T-ara bullying incident, appeared once again as the first friend. CEO Kim Kwang-soo talked about the production process of the compilation album ‘Love Song’, which sold about 2 million copies, saying, “In the past, they sold records illegally on the streets under something called a Billboard chart, but I thought, ‘We need to get rid of illegal Billboard charts.’ So we made a compilation album, ’Love Song,‘ and we also advertised it in the newspaper,“ he said.
CEO Kim Kwang-soo also shared an anecdote, saying, ”Originally, we were going to cast Kim Hee-sun, but we changed the casting to Lee Mi-yeon after seeing her cry while saying, ’Thank you, Seung-woo, who is like a friend to me‘ at the awards ceremony.“
CEO Kim Kwang-soo also shared a funny episode where he bought a newspaper for actress Hwang Shin-hye, who was nominated for the Popular Star Award at the ’Blue Dragon Film Awards.‘ CEO Kim Kwang-soo said, ”Choi Jin-sil and Hwang Shin-hye, who were the top stars at the time, were nominated for the Popular Star Award, and I wanted to look good in front of Hwang Shin-hye, so I bought a truckload of newspapers so I could vote.“ The MCs were amazed, saying, ”This is something that can’t be done in this day and age.“
Lastly, CEO Kim Kwang-soo told the story of how he submerged actress Lee Ui-jung, who was a popular star and the main character in Jo Sung-mo‘s ‘To Heaven’ music video. CEO Kim Kwang-soo started by saying, ”Lee Ui-jung once said, ’I invested in Jo Sung-mo,‘“ and when the broadcasting station said, ’They can‘t play the 10-minute-long Jo Sung-mo music video because it’s too long,‘ the broadcasting station PD suggested, ’Submerge Lee Ui-jung.‘ The main character Lee Ui-jeong did not show up on the scene, and I got a call from the broadcasting station director who said, ‘Lee Ui-jeong is the real investor of Jo Sung-mo and Kim Kwang-soo is in charge of public relations,’, and eventually we played the music video,” he revealed.
Song Jong-guk, a former national soccer player and currently living the life of a natural person, appeared as the second friend, revealing his perfect camping car life equipped with everything from an air conditioner to a sofa, kitchen, and bathroom. When the MCs asked him about his future plans, Song Jong-guk answered, ‘I currently plan to immigrate to Canada,’, and said, “I like teaching children, so I plan to continue. But I recently got my Canadian permanent residency. Canada has a good soccer market, so I’m thinking of going. I‘ve never thought about going abroad, but I think it will be a new challenge if I go to Canada,“ he said.
Song Jong-gook’s close friend, former national soccer team member Seol Ki-hyun, appeared as a surprise guest and talked about soccer and the future with Song Jong-gook and Ahn Jung-hwan. Ahn Jung-hwan, who is known to have obtained all the qualifications required to become a soccer coach, said, ”It took almost 10 years,“ expressing his difficulties, to which Hong Hyun-hee asked, ”Do you have any thoughts about becoming a coach? What do other people think?“ Song Jong-gook replied, ”I hope you don‘t. Broadcasting suits you well,“ and Ahn Jung-hwan said, ”A soccer coach is a job that ultimately has no happy ending. He answered, “That means it’s that difficult,” raising expectations for director Ahn Jung-hwan.
