Oh My Girl‘s Seunghee shared her thoughts on the end of the tvN weekend drama ‘Jeongnyeon’ (directed by Jung Ji-in/written by Choi Hyo-bi).
In ’Jeongnyeon‘, Seunghee plays the role of ‘Park Cho-rok’, a fellow research student who entered the Maeran Theater Troupe through an audition with Jeong-nyeon (played by Kim Tae-ri). She showed a variety of emotions from the beginning of the drama where she is jealous of Jeong-nyeon and bullies her and acts mean to her, to the later scene where she shares the same stage with Jeong-nyeon.
In episode 8, where she goes to the audition for ‘The Fool and the Princess’ with Jeong-nyeon after going through many twists and turns, she captivated viewers with her outstanding acting, from singing to crying.
Seunghee naturally and steadily portrayed Cho-rok’s emotional changes and her growth from a new research student to standing on stage with Jeong-nyeon. This is only her second serious drama, but she has proven her solid presence by showing a deeper side of herself and solidifying her position as an actress.
Seunghee said, “I think there were so many things I felt while acting as Park Cho-rok in this drama. Preparing to play the lovable Cho-rok and worrying about how to show a more perfect side were happy times, and it was a valuable experience because I was able to learn a lot while working with the actors on set. I would like to thank everyone who gave me this precious experience that I will never have again in my life, and I would like to thank everyone who loved Jeongnyeon.”
Through ‘Retirement’, actress Seunghee showed off her extraordinary presence, and expectations are high for her future. Seunghee will continue to greet people through various fields such as acting and Oh My Girl activities.
